License activation

The free plugin works immediately with caps. Pro is unlocked with a license key — activated once, cached locally, and revalidated daily with a 7-day grace window so outages never break your site.

Step by step

1Install the Glimpse BI Pro plugin alongside the free plugin.
2Go to Glimpse BI → Settings and find the License section.
3Paste your license key from your glimpsebi.com account (or AppSumo redemption).
4Click Activate License.
5Pro features unlock immediately; the license is cached and revalidated automatically each day.
6To move a site, use Deactivate to free the seat, then activate elsewhere.

How activation works

Activation registers your site against your license and caches a short-lived signed token locally. The plugin verifies that token offline for 24 hours and refreshes it with a daily background task — so normal operation never depends on a live network round-trip.

Graceful degradation

If the license server can’t be reached, Pro keeps working for a 7-day grace window. Only after that do Pro features step down (materialization refreshes pause, embeds revert to the watermark, premium chart types fall back). Your charts always keep rendering — license state never breaks chart display.
