Exports

Get the underlying data out — per chart or per dashboard — as CSV or JSON. Large exports run as a background job so the browser never hangs.

Step by step

  1. 1Open a chart or dashboard.
  2. 2Click Export and choose a format (CSV or JSON).
  3. 3For a small result the file downloads immediately.
  4. 4For a large result Glimpse BI enqueues a background job and shows progress; download when it’s ready.
  5. 5Public embeds can also expose per-chart CSV / JSON download to viewers when enabled.

Share & embed dialog — mint an expiring token, then copy the iframe or shortcode.

Sync vs async

Small exports stream straight to a download. Larger ones run as a WP-Cron-backed job with status polling (Enqueuing → Processing → Done) so a multi-thousand-row export doesn’t time out the request.

What you get

Exports reflect the chart’s current definition and any active filters — the same rows the chart is showing — so a CSV always matches what’s on screen.
